well after holding her eggs forever.....she finally released them and i have 8 or so babies in the tank with her.....i'm happy....bought some food for them today, and a shrimp hatchery....

just had to share my good news...

what kind of cichlid? you can also harvest your own daphnia for them also. take a small jar with a lid, fill with tank water, pop in a lettuce leaf, cover and set in a sunny window for 24 hours. when you are ready to feed the fry, remove the leaf and empty the water into the tank. i feed all my fry this for the first 5 days and then move them up to finely crushed flake or bbs.

That sounds very similar to culturing infusoria!
