I tried to take a photo of my dwarf Gouramis today - with not much success. They swam so fast! This one is the best so far.
Here is the photo:

I have 2 male DG. They are so active, if one saw another, they will chase each other crazy. Luckily my tank has many hiding spots.

Welcome.

I think it is important that Dwarf Gouramis are very territorial and males will be very aggressive to eathother. What you mean by 'chasing each other' will turn into then tearing each other into shreds. In general, you should not have 2 male gourami in the same tank.

Your Gourami are very pretty.

Hi ksuyen,

That looks like a natural dwarf gourami. They are nice fish when you can get them. If possible, do try to get some females. They are more silvery in color and not as bright, but you will be reducing the aggression of the males.

HI

Yes! They are very pretty indeed - those golden - blue - silvery colours. Do you think 2 additional females will tame their masculinity?

They ate a lot too, pellets, flakes, bloodworms - all gone in a few seconds. Sometimes I feel sorry for my Tetras. I gave them sinking algae wafters so they don't have to compete with Gouramis. Although that also will be monopolized by the gouramis :grr:

Hi ksuyen :)

Your tank is nicely planted and they might claim separate territories in it. As dwarfs you won't have nearly the problem you would have with the full sized ones but still, some females would be a good addition.
