Sunburst Platys

hello,
i was wondering how long it would take for a pregnant sunburst to have fry. i currently have 5 platys in my 30 gallon tank 3 are female.

usually it takes them about a month.

when they long like they ar about to BLOW u know they will be near. also normally theres a black blob behind there ribs i do'nt know if u might have a bright fish but thats how i tell

also i haven't seen any signs of my females being pregnant when do the signs normally start showing up?

I would say in the middle at two weeks is when it becomes quite apparent. If you have males and females in the tank and they are of reproductive age, the females will almost certainly be pregnant.

thats what i thought and its been about two weeks and no signs of a pregnant fish.

Sometimes the signs aren't as clear. Just be patient and you should see the females grow in size.

last night i took a really good look at my platys and i saw the gravid spot on one of my female fish! im so excited!!!
