Sump Tank For My 50g Tank

I have a 50G tank, and I have a 20G Sump Tank. Is the Sump Tank enough for the 50G Tank? Advice please. TIA

Im still confused what will be the better Sump layout for my 50G Tank. I have here layouts of my idea. Give me advice please. TIA

Sump Layout 1

C1 - From Tank
C2 - Fine Filter Wool / Coarse Sponge
C3 - Fine Filter Wool / Fine Filter Wool / Coarse Sponge
C4 - Fine Filter Wool / Gravel / Gravel / Coarse Sponge
C5 - Return to Tank

Sump Layout 2

C1 - From Tank
C2 - Ceramic Tubes
C3 - Fine Filter Wool / Coarse Sponge
C4 - Fine Filter Wool / Gravel / Gravel / Coarse Sponge
C5 - Return to Tank

You can post and rearrange with whats inside the chambers. That would really help and this can be used for DIY layout.

Is this for a freshwater or saltwater setup? If freshwater I'd try and make C5 wider and C1 thinner. If it's saltwater I'd suggest a wholly different design.

check out melv's reef (google it) and therehave been lots of discussions on sumps look around to see if any of them will work for your setup

Yeah the only way I'd use all that media is if it were a messy predator tank. Otherwise, I'd go natural and have one section for the return pump, a section for the drain, and a refugium in the middle.
