Hi. This should be on the freshwater side but i though the best place to get advise on the pumps would be here. Ive got 150G freshwater tank and im going to set up a 21G sump on it. I want about a 10X turn over but its got to pump it up a few feet so i was thinking about a 6000lph pump? what brand would be best? and what sort of price will it be?
thanks :good:

look on ebay for freshwater you can use plain old pond pumps wich are cheaper as they dont need to be salt safe so look for one with the amount of flow and head height required and be prepared to pay 20-30 pounds :good:

Ill have another look see if i can find any thing then. £30 is fine the ones at my lfs are £70.

i guess you gotta look for bargains i got a superfish 15000 for 55 pound spretty much new

you wont find a good one much cheaper than the £70.

return pumps something not to be skimped on imo, runs 24/7 and keeps you entire system ticking over. if it fails your tanks disconnected from its sump where most of teh equipment is
