hi i have bought a 75 us gal and everthing needed has come with it(hardware wise)
but the sump is very basic and is only 5 us gallon i have been told my tank has to have a 20 us gallon sump or more as i have not much money could i just use the sump anyways and add a extra filter/skimmer in the main tank if needed

plz any advice or personal exrpience etc ... is welcome
cheers

If you're not gonna go with a bigger sump in the 20gal range, its better just to scrap it entirely and go with HOB options on the main tank. A 5g sump is more trouble than its worth ;)

ok but the man i am buying it off already has it set up so if its already set up could i just carry on as he had had no problems b4 or shall i upgrade to a 10 us gallon if possible il check with ma mum and see how much room there is in he stand (i get th tank sunday :))

or if its that bad shall i jut scrap it but srely if its set up its worth carrying on -----is it?

If the previous owner had it running problem-free, then hopefully you can create his success. If you're unable to repeat what he/she was able to accomplish with the sump, plug/ the overflows and wait till you can afford a bigger sump tank :). How was the overflow accomplished? Drilled or not?

i am not sure i will be able to tell you tomorrow when i collect the tank
