I think we just notice it more because betta's seem to have a more personality then other fish. Some bettas are sulky and moody and some are friendly, but all betta's are loaded with character!!!!

I agree. Oscars deffinately. Anytime I do anything to the tank, he goes to the bottom and acts like he will die. It's quite hillarious. He gets over it within 5 minutes. Than he happily goes around uprooting the plants I worked so hard to put in again.

haha! mines getting his character back now.. he lost it after stressful ordeals with bad stats, gouramis, a mirrored tank..

now his third move was into a new tank for himself with no mirror...

hes happy.

just need to get some floating plant and some other plants to put in for him as i just have this gross fake one for now!!


he has a habit of playing dead. it frightens me... he did it today.. almost sunbathing on top of the filter, kinda in an awkward position.. i touched him with my finger, thinking he was dead and he practically came out of the water, flew over the filter and then sulked/recovered from shock and wouldnt eat his bloodworm for ages.

aww bless him! mine did that, i honestly thought hed died and was rly upset, put my hand in the tank and picked him up, he still didnt move..then suddenly he jumped up and darted around the tank as if to say nooo im not dead! hehe bettas are so comical

I did have a very moody betta before though, he wasnt impressed by much going on bless his cottons
