Suitable Tank Materials

Newby Question: Can you raise tropical fish and plants in galvanized metal tanks... how about Sterilite, Rubbermaid and other plastic containers? Thanks!

Over the years, I've seen fish kept in all the containers mentioned --- and very successfully too.

Same here, I've got a couple 150 gallon Rubbermaids running right now.
