Suggestions

I need suggestions to help me improve my tank. Here is the current stocking:

4 corydoras
2 yoyo loaches
1 clown pleco
2 neon tetras
3 black skirt tetras
2 leopard danios
1 red tailed shark
1 honey gourami
1 red wag platy

It has pink gravel. Three live plants, and two fake. A castle in the middle for the yoyos, shark, and pleco. And there is a small lava rock to the side. The filter system is just one of the tetra whisper power filters. It has a airator for a 40 gallon tank, and a air stone 6 inches long. The water is crystal clear, and all the stats are great, the best they can be. Any suggestions from stocking to looks would be awesome!

Oh and by the way, it is a 29 gallon tank.

Angel fish would be cool, but I have neon tetras. I also think I should probably get some more tetras and danios so there are schools of them. If I turned each into a school of five what fish could I get after that?

Also what could I do to improve the stocking.

More neons, black skirts, and danios is a good idea..

I wouldn't put angels in there.... uhhh.... maybe something for the top of the tank.. what that is I do not know.. lol

Yes that is probably what I will do. Then the stocking would be...

5 neons
5 black skirts
5 danios
2 yoyos

1 gourami

I was thinking about changing the gravel to sand. Also petco was having a sale on some nice drift wood. I could get some of that. It would look alot better.I could get another gourami for the top. How about a golden gourami. I like those. But I think it would be over stocked. I will probably just stick to the more tetras and danios. I would like another platy though...

Yeah, I saw some hatchets at my lfs. They are nice fish. So the plan for stocking so far is...

So how many hatchets could I get? Or could I get a gourami? Or should I keep it at that idea???

Personally I'd keep that stocking and possibly remove the RTBS as it gets bigger.

I'd like to bring into question what filtration it has, and if you plan to begin to plant it heavily with live plants.
These two options can let you bend the stocking a little. I'm not advocating stock bending, but I'm saying it can be done.

A: I'd keep corydoras and tetra in groups of 6+
B: As mentioned - the RTBS isn't the best of best when it comes to playing nice. I would rid myself of it, as I've had to in the past.
C:

5 neon tetras ----------------- add 1
5 black skirt tetras --------------add 1
5 danios------------------------- add 1
4 corys --------------------------- add 2
2 yoyo loaches ------------------ don't they need a bigger tank? well, longer is more like it. minimum suggested length is 36 inches
1 clown pleco
1 rtbs --------------------- I'd take it back...
1 platy -------------------- alone? I'd take it back....
1 honey gourami ---------------- why not go with a dwarf?

Well this picture was taken last year. The tank looks alot different. It is crystal clear, it has more fish, and I have thought of everything that u have suggested.

I have a brand new filter. (much better than the last one)

I am rehomeing the rts.

The tetras and danios are in groups of six now.

The platy is going into my new tank that will have 4 other platys.

The yoyos are fine trust me.

I have two more corys.

And my honey gourami is such a laugh to watch. He is so cute, and I love him. I couldnt think of replacing him with anything.

HAHA Princess tank. Halfbloodprincess. HAHAHA. Yeah when I picked out that gravel I really dont know what I was thinking. I think I was going through a stage of somesort. lol

After Christmas I will put on a pic of what it looks like now.

So basically the stocking is fine so now the suggestions that I need are for the decorations ect.
