I am planning on swapping out the bulb in my 15 gal tank that I use for any extra plants I have. Right now it has a 2800K Flora-glo 15watt bulb. The plants grow, but they turn a very light/whitish green. I'm guessing this is because of the low kelvin rating . Any suggestions on a good replacement bulb?

thanks,

I agree with Sam

IMO no other cheapo lamp can compete with the Arcadia Freshwater in terms of the colour it puts out (to the human eye)

Makes the tank look great and the plants like it too.

Pic in my Sig is 0.6WPG Arcadia Freshwater and you can see the colour it shows even at this low WPG (I do not have photoshop or any similar program so this is the actual photo)

There will of course be better more expensive lights but whats the point if you can get what works andwhat looks good for cheap and easily available at any petstore.
