I've just started getting into keeping fish, so hopefully this makes sense.
I've just reciently picked up a 40 long tank and am looking for some suggestions for stocking it. It's going to be a freshwater tank, and I'm mainly looking for fish that would be found in the Peruvian Amazon area. I think I would prefer a community tank for this instead of a species, but I havn't made up my mind on that. From what I understand, a 40 long is going to be too small for most larger fish, so I've got to focus on smaller fish.
I've done some research and found a few different fish that might work, some Apistos, along with some other Cichlids, a couple different types of catfish, etc. But I have no clue as to what would work best with what.. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I should stock this tank with once I get it set up?
