This would probably do well in the plant section but I get the best replies from here!

My new pearl gouramis are gradually finding their feet (or fins I should say) but keep hiding behind the impeller housing every time we go near the tank. I was wondering if I had a floating plant / object in the middle of the tank it would give the somewhere to feel safe but I could still see them?

Any ideas for a floating plant that will give some cover but won't spread massively and cut out all the light from the plants below it?

Thanks folks

the best covering plant i have found, which is easy to keep under control is Amazon Frogbit. It also looks nice, when you can see the root structure.

if your still looking for some floating plant, i have some dwarf water lettuce for sale.
