Hi,

I have a 174 litre corner aquarium heavily planted with some rocks and wood. I currently have 3 x gold barbs, 2 x pearl danios, 2 x leopard danios, 2 x dwarf danios, 1 x red and black molly and 6 x neon tetras.

Can anyone recommend a fish/fishes that will go well with this community set up? I'm looking for either a number of small fish (say 6) or 1 or 2 slightly larger fish which will fit in well with my current fish and also fit nicely into my tank (i.e. not get too big in a years time!).

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I would up the barbs to 6, If the danios play together then that's good, danios like 6. Add another molly or two. And a bristle nose pleco.
gold barbs 2"x6=12
danios 2"x6=12
mollies 2"x3=6
neons1"x6=6
bristle nose pleco4-6"x1=6
total=42"

Should work out good, but if you get more mollies and they are male and female then you will have babies.

you could always add a chocolate gourami. not many people have thosse but they are very nice. but i agree with atmmachine. you should up the fish you already have a little.

Thank you!

I really like my barbs, not fish i would have choosen myself but i inherited them from a friend and they are lovely fish to have, and great fun to watch!

Not sure i could deal with babies so i think i may have to add to two more male mollys!

if your going al lmale on livebearers then it is highly recommended you have at least 5 males, this helps spread out the aggression rather than 2 ganging up on the other one :good:

Ok thanks! Good advice! Is this why my 3 barbs seem to seperate into a 2 and 1 situation mostof the time in my tank?

Ok, if you don't want to deal with the babies, just don't take them out. ALL of your fish will take care of them in due time. Trust me.
