Suggested Live Plant?

I would like to know what kind of live plant could go in an unfiltered Betta tank?
I have tried Cabomba, and it died.
I tried Wisteria in a filtered tank. It died.
What is a hardy plant that likes still water, is pretty cheap, and does not rip betta fins.

comboba is good so long as the water isnt too warm, as is elodea.

java moss is good.

hornwort is realy good, but it grows very very fast

oh and hygrophillia species (particularly deformis) will look awsome too

iv got java fern and anubias nana (i bought a huge bushal of the nana and ran out of space im my 20 gallon) they work great i just have them near the window for direct light and thier growing just fine. plus my betta seemed to love to hide in them.

java moss and duck weed. I like duck weed because it loves ammonia and when it multiplies to much, i just scoop it up and throw it in the bin
