Just found several very tiny (danio?) fry in water I saved from a PWC. They are currently in a 5 gal. bucket of not so clean water. I have an empty 10 gal. that I can put them in. Should I put them in the 10 gal. with a foam filter? The tank won't be cycled, but I have a bag of gravel from my 20 gal. that I could add. What should I do? Thanks.

well it will be better than a 5gal NOT so clean water, thats for sure :)

id put them in the small tank much better than a bucket and a already active sponge/foam filter would be a good add if not already got one then get one put into it as its always good for the fry to feed on. do reg 20% water changes to help them grow better and try them on young brine shrimp or young daphenia. you can get some stuff thats liquid but iv found this adds alot of rubbish in the water so would say the young brine better for them to feed on and any they dont eat up will get eaten during the night or as they get bigger. and congrats on the babies and good luck with them :good:

it doesnt need to be cycled as fry dont put out as much wast, as the fry grow the filter will cycle with the growth of the fry.

You could get a small filter, take some media from an established tank and put it into the new filter.
