ok so a few weeks ago i had to totally break down my tank and start from scratch. i placed all of my fish in my 10g fry tank in my room while the other tank re-cycled. the other day i was finally able to get the fish back into their tank but its now been 3 days and my fish are still acting stressed. some will hide in the plants all day. others will stick their nose into a corner and sit all day like a punished child. they are eating sometimes but sometimes they arent. the only ones who seem to have come back around to being playful again are a few of my guppies and my betta. is it normal for them to act like this for so long after a move like that? is there anything i can do to help bring them around? any advice would be great! im worried sick!

have you checked your stats? are they ok (as in 0-0-<80?). do a big waterchange and see if that helps perk everyone up. any labored breathing?
bettas especially tend to sulk when in a "new" tank. everyone eating ok?
cheers

Given that your tank is in fact cycled and you are keeping all the water parameters in an acceptable range, your fish may just be getting used to the new tank. What kind of fish do you have in there? In your tank previously, were they this shy?

water stats are fine. i have guppies and platies in the tank. the water is crystal clear and fully cycled. before the move they were lively and social and now theyre just acting depressed. everyone is eating ok. i put a few fry in the tank to try and perk up the crowd but it only perked up the guppies...i just dont know what else to do. no heavy breathing. the betta is as social as can be. it even seems like he is trying to encourage the others to liven up. i am hoping they recover from this soon. i am worried that if it is in fact stress that it may kill them...anything i can do to comfort them?

How many gallon or litres is the tank.
How many fish and which type.

When you added the fish back did you match ph and temp.
Are any fish pale with clamped fins.
