somewhere I'm not even sure
I plan on going to a garden nursery tomorrow and they sell really inexpensive succulents. I was wondering if I clean the roots off really well and wash the plants if I could put them in my fish tank. If it's going to kill the succulents or harm my tank I won't put them in my tank. I will also be sure to ask if they use insecticide or other chemicals on the plants so I don't harm the fish. Do you think this would work?

No, it will not work, and aside from likely killing the plants, you may kill all the fish. Succulents must be grown in air, they will rot if submerged permanently. And many of them have a toxic sap that will leech out and kill fish, other plants maybe, even bacteria.
