Help!!! I'm having problems deciding on substrate. I am getting a 75g in 2 weeks and I'm planning every detail before I spend a penny. Wish I had done that with my 46g gallon so I wouldn't be stuck with river rock gravel and albino cories living on it.

My hubby is having a hard time compromising on Black, Black, Black. Gravel, Sand, Flourite...etc.....doesn't matter. Black matters. He saw a set up with albino cories on Black and won't budge...they were just beautiful BTW. But I have no idea what to buy. I would be happy with play sand but until I convince him.. What's the best choice?

Oh with the pack of albino cories, come the cutest striped Khuli Loaches ever!!! So I need an option that won't hurt their tummys!

Thanks for the help.

Black sand?
Black sand looks great, and corys will love it!

I think I've already worn him down on the play sand because of price...but what do I do with my plants now...will root tabs work?
