Hello again,

Sorry to keep bombarding you with questions but I wanna get this right first time and I'd much rather the opinions of people who keep brackish tanks than rely on my lfs advice which I don't always rate :(

Anyway - with glass fish and a few bumble bee gobies in my tank I was wondering what substrate would be most suited? Opinions please ;)

The best substrate for brackish tanks is coral sand.

It is best to use crushed coral or aragonite, to keep the pH around a steady 8.

My 'natural' PH is already 8 to 8.5 though, will this still be OK to use?

If that's the case, probably gravel should be ok too. As long as the pH remains steady.
