Hi,

I am in the process of setting up a 6' x 2' x 2' tank and for the substrate I have used Fluorite covered with fine gravel giving a depth of 2 1/2" at the front and about 3 1/2" at the back.

I have raised one corner, about 18" by 22", using slate to hold back the fine gravel. It looks fine so far but I am a bit worried that I might have problems with the six inch depth getting anaerobic pockets.

The plants have been ordered and will be here on Thursday so if there is a potential problem I will need to fix it quickly.

Thanks

i did something like that to one of my tanks a while ago. it looked good and it didn't give me any problems. i just treated that part of the tank as any other
