Substrate And Malawi Set Up?

Hello all,

I am soon to get a milawi set up in a 190 corner tank. I need some advise on setting up the tank and the best substrate to use. Any ideas would be nice.
I know that setting up is quite important because of how territorial they are.

as a substrate i used argos play sand as it is chemical free and then i got soem ocean rock with plenty of holes in it a aquascaped it so there is caves going all along it and it works for me

I use coral sand as it buffers the ph and keeps it at 8.2

I used cichlid substrate. My rocks are slate and granite. My rocks don't buffer the water so much. If you use rocks that will buffer your water then you can use regular play sand.
