hello
i live in pakistan and plan to make an amazon biotope.
everything(co2 pumps, lighting, diffusers, and liquid ferts are availible here but the substrates that are only for plants are,nt)
so can i just use a liquid fertilizer with iron in it as a substitute??
shahrez
p.s:vermiculite etc is,nt availible here either!! :grr:

you need a fertilizer that has NPK+traces. use powders because its easier to make your own that buy an all in one and then have to dose dry because its lacking something

for a plant substrate use pond soil capped with sand

If you can't get a plant substrate, then you might be able to get away with using root tablets. I'm not sure on that though so hopefully someone who will know can elaborate
