Hi, I just filled my first tank with water and started the fishless cycle using prawns. The tank is 80x54x29cm and it's filled with 80litres of water + 25kg of gravel.
It comes with a 15w light tube and I plan to have it planted. The problem is there is no where on the hood to add more lights.
The only solution I thought about is a submersible light and I found this one http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...p;rd=1&rd=1
that will add an other 15w.
Are these submersible lights safe for the fish and are they efficient for the plants?
Many thanks

They should be safe for the fish but wont be efficient with the plants... Your best bet is to retrofit another ballast and tube in there to give you extra, or scrap the stock setup for a higher output one.
