Stupid Question But...

.....as much as I know the answer, I still need confirmation.

I have 4 female platys in my tank and today have added a male and female guppy. Now the poor female guppy is being majorly ignored as the male is frantically trying to mate with the platys s. Is this possible or is he just an oddbod? I've never seen a guppy do this before (we have another tank with mixed guppies and platies).

Lol he is probably just a little confused. All for the better-- the undiverted attention of a male guppy can stress females out alot so be happy he's a swinger! Don't expect any platy/guppies (puppies?) though.
