I bought what I now know is chinease algae eater a few months back, was told by Petsmart that they don't grow big and were much better things to deal with my algae problem than any of the solutions you can add to the water so stupid me believed them.

I have now read up on these since he has expanded from about 2cm to about 5cm in only a couple of months, my tank is going to be no where near big enough for him and Pets at Home being Pets at Home won't take him back. So just don't know what to do. Don't really know anybody who will have a tank to take him. Any body got any suggestions?   He seems happy for the minute but he isn't going to be for long.

I have a new tank being set up at the moment and have learnt my lesson as I am now researching every fish i buy before buying and making up a small folder about all the care needed for them.

Thanks for any advice.

You could just ask another fish shop ( a GOOD fish shop! ) to take them... They may pay you for them or give you store credit... Depends on the shop...

Ok thanks I will call around and see if any of the shops near me will take him. Hez a lovely wee guy, got a personality about him but won't be fair to keep him in a tank that is going to be too small.
