So, recently I read several posts about people noticing some fish being noticeably small than others of the same age/species. I even made a similar post in my platy fry journal, as I have one fry so very much smaller than the rest.

I was just having a thought today... about 3 months ago I bought my first platy, Rosie... she was about half the size of a full grown platy. The next month I bought a full grown platy. 1 month ago I bought 2 more platies that matched Rosie for size...

Well... a month on and one of those new platies has shown significant growth, the other has shown growth too.... and Rosie... is still the same size as she was when I bought her!

Do you suppose she was somehow stunted in her days before I got her or maybe its in her "genes"?

humans dont grow at the same rate either.....and not all grow to the same sizes and shapes

fish are no different
