I need help with a girl with swim bladder disorder I just can't fix. She's a young girl, the sister to my HM boy. She's almost 4 months old and is still eating live foods only. I've been mixing it up between bloodworm, microworm and brine shrimp. When I got her the other week, she had a bit of SBD, but I figured it was the stress of the trip and fed her some cooked pea and she improved a bit. She's always been swimming a bit vertical, but now she's just lying on the bottom of the tank. When she *has* to swim, she can, but mostly she just drags her tail around sideways on the floor -_- I fasted her for a day and did the pea again, still no improvement. Any idea what else I can do? I hateseeing her like this :-(

Perhaps its in her genes? Just the obvious, clean water, shallow water, and warm water. My sbd boy sits on the bottom some days and sort of floats sideways, but he has a really long shallow plastic box and seems to be thriving...I dont feed him too often.

That's a good idea, I might get her her own long shallow container and a seperate heater. I've taken her out of the community tank, I was worried she might become a target because she's weaker.
