what do YOU say to someone with this:

5 Gallon Hex:
1 Blue Siamese Fighting Fish
4 Threadfin Rainbowfish
3 Dwarf Gouramis [Aka. Croaking Gouramis]
2 Otocinclus
2 Bumblebee Gobies
1 L-174 [dunno common name]
1 Dwarf African Frog
1 Albino African Clawed Frog
2 Hara Hara - Asian Moth Cat

i went EEEEEEEEEEEEEE nonono.
but they've been fishkeeping for years, and they changed the filtration, and they've been in there for a year so it's ok. obviously.

*grumbles*
i have of course pointed out that when the clawed frog hits full size, everyone else will get eaten...

i want to cyber slap these people. it's SO FRUSTRATING.

Best thing to do is make them feel bad. Nobody likes being told their overstocked, or not looking after their fish properly. If it's a customer in an LFS then don't serve them and if it's somebody on a forum or a friend you know then just say that they are overstocked and aren't given the fish their true environment. Nobody likes being told thet they are doing something wrong (even they show that there not bothered).

LOL! It's possible to meet them on a forum or if you work in an LFS, then you deal with people like this all the time.

i found this guy on my prowl around deviantart. he has another tank with a dozen plecs of varying sizes, which i find a bit suspicious! if anyone wants to see the offending tank, pm me and i'll send you the link.

he also has a 30 gallon with all the plecs, approx 6 of varying types (he doesn't even know if he has anymore!) and from what i can see in the pic, at least 1 angel and what looks like it could be a red line tetra or something?

I'm terrible for critising people, I'm not the best fish keeper but I try to be as good as poss. I find myself walking around the lfs shaking my head and tutting alot LOL

I've been looking around some houses to buy and the other week I went into someone's house and was horrified, they had a juwel vision 180 with the following(the water was also a yellowy colour)

4 x clown loaches
2 x common plecs
8 (maybe more) cichlids
30 or so mixed guppies / platies / tetras

all the cover they had was 1 piece of bogwood and 3 fake plants. They also had a 10L with about 20 or so juvenile guppies / platies

I just wanted to rescue them all, I was so tempted to go back for a second viewing with a few fish bags to save some of them! They's obviously gone to the lfs and just said I'll have this that half a dozen of them and bung us a load of them!
