Hi all

I'm new to this forum. I have been keeping fish for a while on and off. I recently inherited some fish form someone who wasn't looking after them. In that bunch was 1 male dwarf rainbow fish. After the tank had had a few weeks to settle and fully cycle I decided to get a few more (the right amount of males to females) for him to school with.

After introducing them to the tank I noticed they had cotton mouth (I should have quarantined them I know :-(, but I have never had this problem before)

I have been treating with melafix and pimafix for a few days with zero improvement and now they are starting to die and the other fish are not doing well at all.

One of the Dr fish has a red dot on his belly and the phantoms don't look good either, a little red around the gills.

I have, a plec, angel fish, Dr fish, black phantom tetras and dwarf rainbow fish in a 3foot tank.

What can I do? please help.

at the moment it looks like the whole tank is contaminated and I'll loose all of the fish.

Water tests are:-

PH - 7.5
Ammonia - 0
Nitrite - 0
Nitrate - 5

I cant attach pics as they are too large

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks
