Hi Guys

This is a little sad but,,,,my husband died on the 15th of this month in a road accident and one of his platys has just had babys there is 13 in the tank, they are in a seperate tank, i am disabled and unable to go out, where could i buy fry food online? i have tried ebay but dont know what to get any advice please?

where do you live?? If your in the US you might try looking at yellowpages.com, find a local petshop, explain your story and see if they can either ship or drop off food. If your in the UK, well i cant help you sorry. Hope all goes well!

forgot to say that you could use crushed flakes to feed the babys

Hi I am useing flake food, but from what i have read this is not good enough to feed them, i am so confused i dont want to loose any of the babys,

The thing is if you buy some online then it wont arrive till monday or tuesday so crushed flake will do untill then for sure.

Doyou have a mature filter with sponge inside, if so you could cut that it half and put that it the tabk, lots of organisms live on the sponge

Yes there is a mature filter in the tank, how often do you feed fry, i am grinding the flakes until they are smaller than the fry, but not sure on how ofter too feed them, and how long will they need to stay in the seperate tank for ?

Personally I would feed them a few times a day, little amounts but also do daily water changes, if not daily then atleast every other day

The best thing to do is order some fry food today and just feed crushed flake, as small as you can get and feed them with that.

You could also try frozen daphnia is you have that
