It is like cycle it supposably 'jump starts' your filter by adding live bacteria though there are many that says it doesn't work.

I used cycle myself and can assure you in my experience I would rather throw 3 quid in the sea! I have no idea of stress zyme If it works or not its up to personal experience but I would say save your money and do a fish In or fishes cycle
