I noticed yesterday evening that one of my tetras was swimming oddly. Always trying to swim down but to keep in that position he would have to keep swimming downwards as he would float up if he didn't?. I dunno. I've added some med protozin i think its called. This morning i didnt notice him doing it but i couldn't stay long enough to check thoroughly.

Nitrite is zero, ammonia is zero, nitrate is low.

Any ideas? x

Could be a swimbladder problem... I think there is a treatment that helps the fish regain his/her buoyancy...

Never add meds to tank till you know what you are treating for it does more harm then good.
Need to look at size of tank in gallons or litres.
How many fish and which type.
Water stats in ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and ph.
Has the neon lost its colour in the red stripe area does it look bleached out.
Also does the neon look bloated.

Looks like the culprit is fine now, swimming about as usual the little blighter. I was very worried for a bit then, i can't be doing with anymore ill fish! x

Sounds like abit of constipation.
Variety of frozen foods and veg in there diet.

Many thanks!!!!!

He's gone back to bobbing up and down again, not all the time though which is strange. I will introduce veg in to their diet like i do my other tank at my mum and dads. Is it just peas you can give them? x

All green veggies go down well, brcc, sproats, green cabbage, peas, lettuce, cucumba, spinach.
