so these unusual structures ( a pair of pagodas ) were added to this tank, to give a visual feel to the theme of this tank, but their size and shape have become very useful to the fish... the roof section, has become a veritable garden being closer to the surface, and the lights... the legs give a useable space under it, and the fish also go inside them quite often... in this picture you can see a Denison under, and another inside, and several fish grazing on the roof...
in this picture one of my little panda loaches is grazing on the side... ( center of the picture )
these are pretty large resin structures designed for the yard / garden, but seem right at home in this tank... the broken off stump pot in the center of the tank, with the coffeefola in it, is made of the same material...
have you added some unusual structure, that works well in any of your tanks???
a wide variety graze on the roofs... a reticulated, and red tail Hillstream and one of the little panda loaches having breakfast here..
