strange pleco question

I recentily acquried a new plece i cant think of the name (hes brown with black spots) I also have a spotted rapheal. Strange question all the new pleco does is go to the bathroom to the point where its like all over the place LOL. I dont know how else to put it. Is that normal cause the rapheal isnt like that i just find it both weird and disgusting. Like i lifting up his hiding spot when he wasnt in it and it was full with waste.

Not sure what type of pleco you have cause im reasonably new to all of this, but i have a pleco and thats all he does to, i have to clean up his poo all the time.

Plecos are waste machines, they sure clean up the tank but they are worse than toddlers because you have to run around cleaning up after them.

It sounds like you have a common pleco, or possibly a gibby.

Yes, plecos produce huge amounts of poop, but it's perfectly normal for him, just hoover it out.

feed them lots of cucumber and veg - light green poop isn't quite as offensive

I have heard this is normal but I've never seen my plec poop nor is there any below his hiding place in the bogwood................oh dear.

it is very normal for pleco's do make more waste then they clean, you need to have a good eco system. My mate has tones of plecos but manages to keep it clean due to other fish in there.
