Hey, I recently bought a female mickey mouse platy since i only had 1 other female for my male platy.
but for some reason the male seems to be chasing her away rather than chasing after her!.. she is defiantly female, am starting to think that she maybe just a young-in as she is a little bit smaller than my other to plat's

he goes more for the other female and when ever the mickey swims past he sort of chases her aggressively (different to the way he chases the other female) untill she goes away then goes back to the other female... does anybody have any idea whats wrong?

oh and he is also very aggressive to my male molly other than that everythings fine!..

thanks
leann

Fish can be strange some times, I had a female swordtail that would kill any male I put in the tank. I really don't know why she did it. but she did! The male you have may fight with any male livebearer, such as the molly, and the other female I'm not sure why he is chasing her.

I think its quite funny really haha.. my male molly just hides in the sunken ship that i have.. and sort of come out for a little swim then sees the male platy then wooshes back inside hehe... seems like my male platy rules my tank! and my poor 2 dalmation mollys just get stuck in the middle!
