yesterday after my tank cycle i was looking around the tank and spotted 2 super tiny creatures wiggling along the glass on the front of the tank. They were white and moved like maggots/caterpillars and were about 2-3 mm long and move quite quick.

what are they :(

what should i do

i have 2 convicts and a gold nugget plecco, no known snails and no new plants......

thanks

I think they're planaria or flat worms. I had some in one of my tanks for a while - but small fish usually eat them. They're living on uneaten food in the substrate - so might be an idea to up the gravel vaccing. Otherwise I don't think you need worry :)

They probably are planaria. They are harmless, apparently tasty (to fish) and I think they are also very cute:

They have somewhat comical faces don't you think? :p And an interesting little fact - the first animals with brains were flatworms - so, in a sense, planaria are quite intelligent ;)
