Hi All,

I am currently treating my neons for White Spot. I have just noticed that one of the Neons appears to have a strange bubble on his belly, Sorry if that isnt the correct term, but I am not sure about fish anatomy. I did try to get a photo but I havent quite mastered the art of taking photos of fish yet. Does anybody know what this could be?

Thanks,

Rich

As long as the bubble not beneath the skin, fish can get small bubbles usually when whitespot it about to break out, how big is the bubble is it clear looking.

This probably sounds really strange but the bubble seems to be pulsing. I have also spotted another one with the same thing. The bubble is not massive but noticeable and the colour seems to be the same silvery colour as the rest of his belly.

Yes Kind of. I am just a bit puzzled as to why it seems to be pulsing. All the fish are chasing each other around and all seem to be happy enough.

Much as I hate to admit it I think it could be N.T.D. I think I will remove him just to be on the safe side and stick him in the quarantine tank for a few days.

Thanks for your help Wilder.

Keep a close look out, can you issolate them, i had it with my noens and they wiped the whole tank out, had to strip the tank down and start again.

Wilder,

Thanks for keeping the post going. I can't isolate him I am afraid as I havent got my quarantine tank yet. However looking at them today the 2 that had the bubbles dont show any sign of bubbles now, Strange. I ahve been atching them on and off for the last few hours and the bubbles appear to have gone.

Thanks for your help,

Rich

That good news, probably just the whitespot, good luck.
