Strange Behaviour?

i just bought some zebra cichlids today and when i introduced them to the tank one of my yellow labs started vibrating in the water, what does this mean?

It is called shimmying. My mbuna did it too, it is something they do to insert dominance.

i thought that this was something the males would do before they breed

Theres 2 types of shimmy theres the "im boss back off" and theres the shimmy followed by a fancy swin as he tries to lead a female to his cave.
