Strange animal

I keep a tank for just my anacharis and snails. I found this in it. I thought it looked like a leech but have no idea.

Anyone have any idea what it is and where it came from?

It's definitely a parasite. Not quite sure what it is. Check the tank and plants for more of them.

Is there anything I can clean the anacharis with that will kill the parasites as I feed the anacharis to turtles and don't want to take a chance that this parasite gets on the turtle. Then it is Vet time. So far no more of them.

I can't see it move, and there is nothing to give scale, but I am 98+% sure it is a leech.

As I live in Fla. I am lucky that I can go to the canals and collect my own water plants. My problem is what to clean the plants off so I don't get things like leechs.
What would I use to clean the plants, is it harmful to snails and where would I buy it from? I know, questions and more questions
