I received my plant order today, but it is for my mum's tank. She couldn't take delivery as she's not in today.

I'm hoping to drop them round to her tonite or tomorrow, but obviously these babies need some light + water.

Am I safe to just put them in a bucket of tap water, or should I use tank water? They can't go in my tank as the parrots would munch them!

i normaly just stick them in dechlorinated tap water (add a bit of warm water though to get it to roughly 25 degrees....

If you're taking them around tonight, I would leave them are they were delivered. They should be fine until this evening, and prob also until tomorrow. But if you really want to, as Ian suggests a bucket of warm (same as a tank), dechlorinated tap water would do.
