So I have got my fuge connected up now but still have a lot of finishing off and fine tuning to do. One problem Im having is that the return from the fuge to the display tank creates a lot of bubbles. Anyone know of the best way to put in a return to stop this happening?

having the outlet underwater in the main tank will help to limit bubbles, however if there is a power failure, then the water will syphon back down the hose until the level drops below the outlet and allows air into the pipe.
Check the sump and make sure the return pump isn't sucking air.

you could try a real small filter bag zip tied to the end of the return pipe.

Only issue with that is it will slowly clog up.

I believe that drilling a hole at the top of the elbow will break any siphon that is formed or put a none return valve into the return pipe and have the outlet underwater.
