Aqua babies are horrible things, small fish are forced to live in a smll tank visit teh site below to c wot tehy r about. I have but it under this category because tehy r mainly tropical fish.

Just to be the voice of common sense and reason here, online petitions are not going to help change anything. They make you feel like you're accomplishing something but they aren't.

If you want to make a difference and a real protest, email, call or send letters to the company explaining calmly and clearly why you don't like their product. Yellnig at them, calling them names, making cruel and crude remarks will get you nowhere.

Another possibility is to report them to the RSPCA or the appropriate branch of the government in dealing with cruelty to animals. The name eludes me at the moment unfortunately.

edit: Yes, proper spelling and grammar in the post would've made it easier to understand the problem instead I knew from past posts about aquababies so I got the gist.

i dont think its so bad. the tanks are 1/4 gallon. actrually they are more than 1/4 gallon but because of the rocks and such a 1/4 gallon water volume is whats left.

imo, if bettas can live forever in petsmart 6 ounce plastic cups then whats the big deal here?

maybe you dont want too put a dozen plecos in the aquababies tank but a beta OR a few guppies i dont think is a big deal, and most of the fishbooks i have read agree with me.

it seems like people make too much of a big deal over things. the last "cruel" product to come by was those betta purses which has a betta in a glass side of a purse. well i bought one for my sister and her betta is doing ok. its been in there for weeks.

So you think it's fine to keep a tropical fish without a heater or a filter and only to clean it out 3 times a year? They sell them with rosy barbs in, those thigns get to 5" long. and danios which needs lots of swimming space.

So, did you buy her one of the "cruel" purses with the betta, or one of the aquababies?

Betta are not the same as Guppies. Betta breathe air from the surface, have a much better tolerance for unfiltered water and are not very active fish, of which Guppies, Platies, Swordtails and so on are virtually the opposite of.
