stones in the tank

would pebbles/stones from the sea be ok to put in my tank, if i boil them. I live by the sea and there are pebbles a plenty

If you boil them and do the vinegar test, then IMO yes. I have several in some of my tanks.

yes i would like to know to and would it be the same for just rocks you find outside in the ground and other places

just be sure you can legally take them from the beach;
check with your local council, as there maybe a bylaw preventing it.

For the vinagar test, just put a few drops of vinegar on the rock. If it fizzes, don't use it.

Prob really silly question but i will say it anyway, do i have the stones in water when i do the vinegar test? And if i do then is it boiling or cold water, and white vinegar or normal? And last of all do i then boil again to remove traces of vinegar?

vinigar test out of water! I use normal vinigar 4 testing!
