Hi everyone, I'm looking at stocking my 15 gallon tank, I like tetras and guppies and was wondering how many I could in my tank and which ones would be best? You it be wise to put loaches in as well? My tank is fine gravel with slate and several plants. Thanks for any advice.

Welcome to the forum! IMO your tank can support about 15 inches of fish (max adult size). I don't think most tetras and guppies are compatible. Loaches like to be in groups of 6+ so that would about fill your tank. Tetras like to be in groups also. You should pick a fish you like, not what I think is best. When you pick your favorite post it here and we'll give you our opinions. :good:

IMO tetras and guppies go quite well not all tetras granted like Serpae are nippy but things like Green Neons or Ember Tetras would be perfect for this tank :)

I agree on the loaches but pygmy cories would work really nice in a small group and maybe rather than guppies go for their smaller relatvies Endlers :)

Personally, once the filter is established I would go with 2 male and 4 female guppies, and for tetras I'd go with 8 glow lights. I wouldn't add any loaches but might add 3 oto cats after 3 months or so.

Cheers thanks for the help.
