90l tank 6 neon tetras 4 MM plattys?? What small n colourfull the mrs loves guppys how many to get?? Cheers

I'd up the neons to 10-15 first.

Also, neons need soft, acidic water, while platys and guppies need hard, alkaline water.. what is yours like?

Don't have a test kit yet(on order) my lfs do my water checks was told sat everything was ok with a balanced ph tanks been up n running 2 months with full used media from 10 year old tank

So would 10 neons 4 male platys 4 male guppys be ok?? Don't really what fry lol would u recommed any other fish? Like I sad before small colourfull is the plan?

I have a 90litre
You should make it 10 Neons
Add 5 guppies, colourful kind if you like.

What i've done in mine is to get 5 albino corrys and 5 black with silver guppies, they contrast the middle and bottom of the tank and look good :)

Do u have all males? If I have male and female will the fry just be eaten? Sound wrong to let the fry be eaten.

Erm, "ok" from an LFS can easily mean "your water is a toxic soup", can you get them to write down the exact readings? Your ammonia, nitrite and nitrate are probably all fine if the tank is a 10 yro, but your pH and hardness will affect what you should and shouldn't keep.

I am, of course, assuming that you have your fishs' best interests at heart?

I'll try n get in there later they use a water based test kit! My kit is in the post so next day or so do my own

Ammonia and nitrite are 0 nitrate is 4ppm and ph 7.5 ! Tested 10 mins ago so what u guys n gals think stock at the min is
6 neons
2 male 2 female plattys( I think looking at anal fin)

the mrs really wants guppys

That's perfect water for guppies, but you should try to up the female platys to 4 first.

As I said before, the neons would benefit from a larger group, but 7.5 is on the high side for neons.. it's up to you what you decide on this one.
