Hi all

i have
3 swordtails
7 guppies (2 m 5 f)
2 sailfin mollys
3 dalmation mollies
2 sucking loaches
3 corrys

its a fluval duo 1000 deep tank

ive added 2 big bits of bogwood and plants due today

was wondering what else i could pop in 2 compliment the tank

i have 5 tetras in the small tank that was going to transfer across at some point

the stats in the tank are spot on- testing on a daily basis at the mo

doing a 15% water change every 3 days

any sugestions?

regards

Mollies need salt in their water. You should return them you your lfs :( Then get another 4 cories - they like to be in groups.

What sort of sucking loaches do you have?
And what is your tank size?

What kind of tetras do you have? As far as I know this loach is also known as the Chinese algae eater, which over time becomes agressive and territorial. It also grows big (around 25 cm), and should be kept alone. It is not very suitable for a community tank..... Your tank is around 180 litres, if I calculated it well.

I think it would be nice to keep some bigger fish in this tank to attract attention. If you are keeping the mollies (see Esfa's post), then don't add gouramis. If you change them, you could add a nice trio of sparkling gouramis, honeys, pearls, or thicklipped gouramis.

A nice shoal of congo tetras, or some rainbowfish would also look great.

according to the box its 200l which works out aroung 44uk gallon

If you have the time to do a water change every three days, great - but once a week would be fine, around 20%.
