Hey,

I have posted about stocking about 6 times now and want my final stocking plan so I was wondering if you can help me with your suggestions! By the way my tank is 29 gallons

At the moment my stocking list consists of:

3 Sterbai Cory,
1 Pearl Gourami,
4 Ottos.

I Have been thinking about getting some blind cave tetras and some harlequin rasboras. I think I have plenty of space left....

Thanks for any suggestions, orange shark

29 G correct me if im wrong but i think thats 120L, if i am right then you can fit some more fish in there since the harliquins never get to big but the combination sounds great.

29 us gallons (109 litres)

If its for a brand new set up i'd go for zebra danios, really active fish stick to the top-middle of your tank so in theory you'd have activity on all levels.
I'd leave the otos which sound quite difficult to keep (just an opinion) improve the cory group size, to say 6.
6 zebra danios-top-mid
6 cory-bottom
pearl gourami-middle technically but'll venture everywhere once settled.
I think thats 24gal of fish so you could add a clown (or other small pleco) once your tank has matured a little.

Thanks -germ-, thing is i dont really like zebra danios! The sterbai are £6 a piece at my lfs so i was thinking of getting 3 for the moment and getting another 3 when I can afford it. Should I get a bristlenose pleco? There only £3 at my lfs!

Umm...
Never had one.
You'd have to check their adult size, you don't want anything that'll grow to much more than 4 inches.
I'd get the 6 cories now then, let them settle in together. Or save up and wait....
Theres loads of shoaling fish, do you know what the PH is of your tapwater, this'd effect your choice, with what your planning you need mildly acidic water for them to truly thrive. I don't know enough about tiddlers to suggest a suitable fish really.
You could swap the pearl for a group of smaller gourami?

OR
Black widow tetras, you'd have to research them, dunno much about them except they'll like mildly acidic watr, so be compatible (water quality wise) with your cories. They are gorgeous, if your into nice simple fish.

Yeh, no offense taken, i know about cycling and am in the process of it now. My water in my other tank is arouond 6.8-7.2 using the same water now. Ive just tested the water now and its EXTREMELY HIGH. Im taking this is just because of the cycling proccess? (hopefully).

Yeah, i like black skirt tetras. I think ill not get ottos and get a bristlenose...

Yep, PH tends to wiggle all over the place during cycling.
To be honest all the species excluding the gourami are southern american or thereabouts (or am i just wrong) if you could find a southern american fish to replace the gourami you could try and go for a biotope(ish) tank.
South american (or thereabouts) river/stream...
Good luck, post pics when its all set up :good:

Anyone know any south american fish?

EDIT: Anyone know any centerpiece south american fish?

Possibly an angelfish, but i can't stand them, refuse to research them after bad experiences.
Nooby mistakes, not the angels fault.
I think they are best in groups, but my experiene was the opposite of this, never ending nipping although that may have been down to tank size.
You'd have to make sure either your tetras are mature or your angelfish young, else the tetras may be seen as nothing more than dinner.
Plec'd be fine.
I know a 30gal is suggested or an angel, but i'm not sure if that is including other fish or just a single angel. Needs to be a fairly tall tank, loads of vallis.
