Stocking

Mmk well after my tank cracking and my clown dying . So far the params in the 30gallon are to risky to add any fish of any kind but I am trying to get an idea of what I want heres a list I made using Liveaquaria.com:

Thinking of getting:
-One Clownfish(already have one but im adding another to hopefully pair up)
-One Neon Goby
-2 firefish
-One 6-line wrasse

Im not sure if thats overstocked or not and I need information on compatibility will all those fish get along?If i can fit a couple of more please give me suggestions on some fish.

It will be cramped a little when they are all full grown, but still doable so I'd say its pushing the limit but possible

Is it possible to swtich the 6 line wrasse to a cardinal?

Yeah that would be possible, but I prefer a 6line. Way more personality

Will do...But I was also looking at the purple dottyback. What are the min. requirements and good tank mates for that one (do they do good with my list)?

whats the scientific name of the "purple dottyback"? some types of dotty's are ok for nanos, and others will grow too large/too aggressive...

Hmm...Well right now im in a bit of a pickle . I couldnt help but take advantage of the three day sale there doing at my LFS...I went for the 3rd day and picked up a pearly jawfish for 5 DOLLARS! not sure if thats much of a bargain but any fish under 20 bucks in the saltwater world is IMO. . Yeah so im not sure if that screwed my list up. Taking in consideration I bought the dottyback also . Yeah but that one I didnt buy on the sale so I can return it if its the one that gets too big and agressive. Yeah so pretty much I think I tilted the fish scale just a bit or prolly a lot . So now what am I left with? If all of the above are compatible, I will take off a few fish off the list ...Kk heres my new list:

Current Inhabitants:
-Dottyback (Pseudochromis porphyreus)
-Pearly Jawfish

Thinking Of Getting
-1 Caridnal.
and not sure if I can get more if so, any suggestions?

A cardinal wouldnt overstock a 30g stocked that way. It might get bullied by the psuedo though either now or in the future as the psuedo grows up. Tough to say as each fish has its own territoriality/personality but thats a risk to be aware of. Good news is that cardinals can be caught easily so if the psuedo does decide he doesnt like the cardinal you could remove it.

Erm, so i think im planning on returning the jawfish as it does absolutely nothing! Just sits under the rock. If I do that what good tank mates will be good?

Well, that's what jawfish do - they sit there and watch for food to go by and they dart after it. If you don't like that, you might want to do some good research on fish personality and activity levels. Most gobies are "watchers" like that.
