hey all

would a pseudotropheus demasoni fight with a male pseudotrpheus saulosi once the saulosi matures?

what are the chances of a cross fertilization happening with demasoni and saulosi ? just wondering if they would make good tankmates in a 55G, or possibly labidochromis caeruleus is a better choice.

I would say yellow labs would make a better tank mate for the demasoni and IMO would make a better looking tank.

Dont forget the demasoni need to be in a group of 12 and ideally 6 labs which will push your stocking to its limits.

The demasoni need a very high water quality there not quite as hardy as other mbuna.

Please don't mix Saulosi with Demasoni, they are far too similar in appearance and at opposite ends of the aggression scale. It has little or no chance of being successful, the Demasoni simply won't tolerate the Saulosi.

Yellow labs and Demasoni tend to work well together. Although they are still complete opposites when it comes to aggression, they are totally different appearance-wise and the Demasoni don't seem to perceive the labs as a threat - usually makes for a settled tank. :good:

yeah makes sense now ... i think i'll skip on the demasoni and go with these for my tank

yellow labs
