Stocking Question

I have my Nan40 set up in my bedroom, cycling away.

Its gonna be a breading tank so it will consist of 1 male Swordtail and 3 females. I was wondering if i should get some word of janitor like a pleco or something, and if so is there anythign i can get thatr is small enough for that tank and that wont eat my Fry??

Not sure about who won't eat the babies! But you could try amano/ghost shrimp or some snails. Or possibly a bristlenose plec. Just my ideas!

BN Plec bit too big for a nano40. I would say a few shrimp might be alright.

I recommend 3-5 otos instead of a BN pleco. I wouldn't do cories for such a small tank either.

How big is the tank again? 40 liters?

I believe otos are just herbivore, but someone correct me if I'm wrong. Since it'll be a breeding tank, I would agree shrimp might be safer for the fry, but I don't think the otos would harm them either. Still, shrimp do cause much less waste... of all the shrimps I would recommend amano since they do eat some algae.
